Amanda has joined the firm as an associate in AXS LAW Group’s litigation team. She is a Miami native and speaks fluent Spanish.

 

Amanda received her B.A. from the University of Miami in 2018 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, magna cum laude, in 2021. While attending Miami Law, Amanda served as the Symposium Committee Chair for the Race and Social Justice Law Review and was a Clinic Fellow for the University of Miami Human Rights Clinic. She also interned at Catholic Legal Services, the ACLU of Florida, the ACLU Women’s Rights Project, and the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office.

 

After law school, Amanda returned to the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office to begin her career, which is where she honed her trial skills. In that position, she tried multiple cases before a jury, ranging from misdemeanor assault to felony fleeing and eluding cases. Amanda also successfully argued multiple successful motions to suppress, resulting in case dismissals. Through this position, she was able to learn how to be a fierce advocate for her clients.
